attainment of organizational goals in an effective and efficient manner, through planning, organizing, leading and controlling organizational sources
What is the meaning of effectivity
the degree to which organization achieves a stated goal
What is the meaning of efficiency?
the use of minimal rsources to produce the desired volume of output
Meaning of the word organization?
organization aim to attain it goals by using its reources in the most optimized way
What does managers do?
- Set objectives --> establish goals
- Organize --> divide work
- Motivate and communicate --> create teamwork
- Measure --> set targets
- develop peopel --> recognize people
Four management functions
Planning = select goals and ways to attain them
Organizing = assig responsibility for tasks accomplishment
Leading = use influence to motivate employees
Controlling = monitor achieves and make corrections
The three management skills
Conceptual skill = the cognitive ability to see the organization as a whole
Human skill = a manager's ability to work with and through other people.
Technical skill = the understanding of and proficiency in the performance of specific tasks.
