The CQC (care quality commission) is an individual regulator of all health and social care settings. They monitor, inspect and oversee that an adiquite duty of care if being produced in the H&SC environment.
An MDT (multi - disciplinary team) is a group of professionals that work together, taking a patient centred approach in order to provide holistic care to service users in order to ensure an adiquite duty of care is produced.
A Multi - disciplinary teams allow the service user a wide variety of treatments meaning that the service user is recieving enhanced treatment and care. An MDT must have a patient centred approach in order to provide a hollistic care.
Due to the amount of professionals working together, opinions and ethics may collide or clash with one another, meaning that the service user will be a topic of conflict between healhcare professionals. This may lead to both the service user and the family feeling on edge or unsafe with the practices that are being provided.
