Operation or use: Used for firefighting to protect hands/arms

Check red plastic disc is intact at rear end of handle
BCF
Precautions + Duration + Range
- Duration: Minimum 10s - Range: 1.5 to 2m
Precations:
-PBE worn in confined spaces
-On flight deck, oxygen masks should be put on and set to 100%
-Do not allow metal part to make contact with wires
-Avoid getting too close to fluid fires due to risks of skattering or splashing fluid surfaces
May not be effect on combustible metal fires (class D) but still can be effective on the subsequent fire of surrounding material.
BCF Opperations
P - Push red thumb catch up
A - Aim at bass of fire
S - Squeeze the handle
S - Sweep the flame
PBE
PSC + Duration + Precautions
PSC: Tamper prevention integrity seal is intact - Check humidity indicator is blue in colour
Duration: Minimum 15mins (will deliver 02 for 8-10mins)
Precautions:
remove objects from around head
ensure long hair is contained inside the hood
don the hood promptly after activation
if hood collapses, remove it and obtain a new one
do not remove hood near sparks of flames

Activation: Pulling one mask from PSU will activate oxygen to that mask only.
Opperation:
Duration: 12mins
Oxygen flow confirm: In line flow indicator registers green
PBE Opperation
Snapping the two cylinders apart, hissing sound of flowing oxygen, inflation and green light indicates it is working properly. palms facing eachother (PRAY) to don the hood around head
Beacon warning
Beacon antennae are spring loaded and may cause injury when deployed. Ensure your hand is over the antenna and the beacon held away from yourself and other people during antenna release.
