Conceptualises thought/message and then codes it so it can be transmitted through a channel/medium
The sender decides in the cintent of the message and hiw it is presented

It is the idea, information or thought that the sender wants to convey to the reciver
It can take different forms (text, speech, symbols, gestures)
It shoukd be clear and well-structured to avoid misunderstandings
The method/tool used ro transmit the message from the sender to the receiver
It can be verbal(face to face convo, phone call, voice message)
or non-verbal (email, text, letters, gestures, facial expressions)
The channel can affect how the message is received and understood
The person or group for whom the message is intended
Responsible for decoding the message (perceiving it through the sensory organs and understanding)
Decoding can be affected by the receiver's backgroud, expperiences and social conext
Response given to the sender by the receiver
helps the sender understand wheter any further clarification is needed
can be verbal (response in a convo) or non verbal 9ndding, gestures, text)
ensures that communication is a 2 way process by closing the loop
effective feedback helps the sender gauge the success of the process and if necessary adjust for future messages
