-involed in clotting open wounds to prevent infection
-Cell that has no nucleus
-Contains lots of haemoglobon protein
-Has biconcave shape ( large SA )
-Transports oxygen
-Defends the body from pathogens
-Two types:
-Phagocytes - engulf pathogens
-Lymphocytes - produce antibodies or antitoxins
