Fusiform
- central muscle belly which converges unto a tendon at both ends
- can have upto three heads
Parallel
Formed by muscle fibres that lie parallel to eachother
usually flat abd straight muscles
strap-like muscles
Pennate
Fibres attacheted to a central tendon which resembles a leaf or feather
Tendon runs through the fibres
increases explosive capacity
Orbicular
A sphincter like sheet of muscle that encircles an orifice
Convergent
Traingular muscles that eminent from a large area and converge onto one attachment
