Involves recruiting participants through refferals from existing participants
Snowball sampling
involves dividing the population into clusters or groups and then randomly selecting intire clusters to be included in the sample.
Cluster sampling
Selecting every nth individual from a list of the population member after a random starting point is chosen.
Systematic sampling
every member of a population has an equal chance of being selected for the sample.
Random Sampling
involves selecting individuals who are readily available and accessible to the research.
Convenience sampling
involves setting quotas for certain demographic characteristics and then purposively sampling individuals to meet this quotas.
Quota sampling
Involves dividing the population into distinct subgroups or strata-based on certain characteristics.
Stratified sampling
involves selecting participants based on specific criteria or characteristics relevant to the research questions.
Purposive sampling
done by asking relevant people if they know someone who will be willing to participate in your research
