simple sentence

made up of at least two independent clauses and no subordinate or
dependent clause.

compound sentence

has an independent clause and at least one (1) dependent
clause

complex sentence

words that glue together similar words, phrases, or clauses

coordinating conjunction

It is defined as a broad statement or an idea that applies to a group of people or things

generalization

makes a statement and ends with a period

declarative

gives a command; it usually ends with a period, but it may also end with
an exclamation point

imperative

asks a question; it always ends with a question mark

integrogative

indicates a strong emotion and ends with an exclamation mark

exclamatory

is the most important sentence in the paragraph
