Physical Education in Emotional Development Objective

Whats Physical Activities?

It is an unintentional movement and it is a daily routine

Whats Physical Exercise

programmed and planned activities and it has a goal

What is Pathfit?

Explains what and what for of the Pe Program on a tertiary level

What is Physical Education

It's more on cognitive or knowledge content and instructions.

What is Physical Development Objective

program of activities that builds physical power in an individual through the development of the various organic systems of the body.

What is mental Development Objective

deals with the accumulation a body knowledge and the ability to think and to interpret this knowledge.

What is Social Development objective

This objective is concerened with helping an individual in making personal adjustment, group adjustment, and adjustments as a member of society.

It is an observable patterns of behavior present from childhood to adulthood

Fundamental Movement Skills

It is the foundation for physical activities and physical exercise

Fundamental movement skills

What are the 3 Physical Literacy of Fundamental Movement Skills?

- locomotor, non locomotor, manipulative excuses

It is moving from 1 place to another, from point to point. Example: Hopping, Jumping

Locomotor

it is being stationary, theres stillness but still moving.
Example: Twisting, leaping, squats, ready position, lunges

Non-locomotor

These are movements that involve the hands and other body parts.
Example: Throwing ball, catching the ball, dribbling the ball

Manipulative exercises

What is the acronym of POSTURE

P - pelvis in neutral, with weight distributed
O - on the whole foot

S - stable joints

T - tight abdominals

U - upright ribs

R - refractes shoulders and

E - ear over shoulder

What are the two classifications of posture?

Inactive and active posture

(CLASSIFICATIONS OF POSTURE)
Muscular activities reduced to minimum

Inactive Posture

(CLASSIFICATIONS OF POSTURE)
Maintained by entegrated action of many muscles

Active posture

Two types of active posture

Static and Dynamic posture

(TYPE OF ACTIVE POSTURE)
How you are going to hold your body while you're not moving.

Examples: sitting, standing

Static Posture

(TYPE OF ACTIVE POSTURE)
How you hold your body while moving

Dynamic Posture

What are the 4 types of postural development?

Correct posture, Faulty posture, Birth, Developmental

What causes poor posture?

Positional and structural factors

It is assesing the person vased on different types of bodys and views

Postural examinations

What are the 3 types of body?

Ectomorph, mesomorph, endomorph

What are the types of faulty posture?

Lordotic/lordosis
kyphotic/khyposis

scoliotic/scoliosis

Position in which minimum stress is placed on each joint (Magee)

Correct Posture

Any position that increases stress on joints

Faulty posture

Entire spine concave forward (flexed), primary curves : Thoracic spine and sacrum

Birth

It is usually abot three months, Secondsry curves, cervical spine, Lumbar spine

Developmental

(CAUSES OF POOR POSTURE)
Appearance of increased height (social stigma), Muscle imbalances/ contractures, pain respiratory conditions

Positional factors

(CAUSES OF POOR POSTURE)
Congenital anomalities, developmental problems, trauma, disease

Structural factors

This is the assessment of the posture is in standing position. the whole posture is assessed from head to toes in diferent views: Lateral, posterior, and anterior view

Postural Examination

In postural examination, The whole posture is assesed from head to toes in different views, what are these 3 views?

LAteral, Posterior, and anterior

(TYPES OF BODY)
It is a person who has a thin body builds characterized by a relative prominence of structure developed from the embryonic ectoderm.

Ecotomorph

(TYPES OF BODY)
It has muscular or sturdy body build characterized by a relative prominence of structure developed by the embryonic mesoderm.

Mesomorph

(TYPES OF BODY)
It has a heavy or fat body builds characterized by a relative prominence of structure developed from the embryonic endoderm

endomorph

Types of faulty posture ( 5 Types )

Relaxed Faulty posture
Kyphosis Lordosis

Sway Back

Flat Back

Round Back

(TYPE OF FAULTY POSTURE)
It is the normal curve (anterior convexity) of cervical and lumbar spine which is found in all normal individual pathologically. It is an exaggeration of the normal curve found in cervical and lumbar spine.

Lordotic Posture

Potential sources of pain in ____________
- stress to the anterior longitudinal ligament

- narrowing of the posterioir disk space and narrowing of intervertebral foramen.

- approximation of the articular facets. The facets may become weight bearing which may cause syonovial irritation and joint inflammation.

Potential sources of pain in Lordotic Posture

These are the common cause of __________ ____________ __________:
- weakness of abdominals muscle

- tightness or contracture of hip flexor (iliopsoas)

- Congenital problems such as bilateral congenital dislocation of hip

- pregnancy

- high heel shoes/footwears

-spondylolisthesis

- anterior tilt of pelvis as a result of weak extensor of hip and abdominals

Tightness of shortening of cervical extensor

excessive lumbar lordosis

These are the?
❖ Mobilization of the lumbar spine.

❖ Anterior stretching of the lumbar spine

Strengthening of the abdominals, glutei and hamstring. Training in grade correction of pelvic tilt has to be emphasized active backward or posterior pelvic tilting by contracting abdominals and glutei in supine is initiated.

❖Toe touching in long sitting or forward bending sitting exercise

❖ Spinal extension or hyper extension should be strictly avoided.

❖Treat the cause of increase lumbar lordosis

Treatment for Excessive Lumbar Lordosis

It is a faulty posture in which lumbar spine and cervical spine get hyper extended while thoracic spine get flexed and head become slightly forward.

Kyphotic Posture / Round Back

Potential Sources of Pain in _______________
* Stressed to the posterior longitudinal ligament.

* Fatigue of the thoracic erector spinae and rhomboid muscle.

* Thoracic outlet syndromes.

* Cervical posture syndromes

Kyphotic Posture / Round Back

Common Cause of _______________
➤Shortening or tightness of extensors of cervical spine and lumbar spine and flexor of hip joint.

➤Weakness of neck flexors, upper back extensors (erector spinae) and Hamstring muscle.

➤Bony anomaly generally in anterior tilt of pelvis, abdominals get elongated but in this posture excessive flexion of thoracic spine offsets the effect of anterior pelvic tilt.

➤Ankylosing spondylitis. Other congenital anomalies.

Common Cause of kyphosis

A lateral curvature of spine which exceeds 10 deg bending of the vertebral from the normal is tended as scoliosis column to one side combined with rotation of the vertebral bodies towards the convexity and the spinous process towards the concavity.

Scoliotic Posture

Potential Source of Pain in ______________
*Muscle fatigue and ligamentous strain on the side of convexity.

*Nerve root irritation on the side of concavity.

Scoliosis

Common Cause of scoliosis
➤___________ scoliosis - Neuromuscular disease, osteopathic disorder, and idiopathic disorder

➤_____________ scoliosis - Leg length discrepancy, either structural or functional, muscle guarding or spasm a painful stimuli in the back or neck, and habitual or asymmetric posture

Structural and non structural

Treatment of ____________
✓ Active Correction with postural adaptation

✓ Passive Correction by Hanging

✓ Educate the patient by active effort

✓ Relaxation technique

✓ Repeated sessions of maintenance

✓ General free mobility exercises

✓ Deep breathing

✓ Balance Exercises

✓ Traction

Scoliosis

It is training on muscles

Core exercises

It is Central Body Parts

Core

Abdomen exercises example:

Sit-ups

Lower back exercises:

Bending

Hips exercises:

Squats
