A major disadvantage of brexit is that the UK will now have more restricted access to intelligence and its confidential info such as info on known terror suspects and criminal records that is shared among EU members

For example, brexit means britain has lost access to the SIS II and is no longer a member of Europol which is used for cooperation between customs and police authorities across the EU

As data sharing is an essential aspect of national security, the impact of brexit may wesken the UKs security and make vital communication with other nations more difficult.

However, the UKs security does not rely solely on the EU. The UK has very powerful data-gathering alliances outside EU and will stilo be able to use these for security.
