Flammable and Combustible
Flammable means that the material will burn or catch fire easily at normal temperatures. Combustible materials usually need to be heated before it starts to burn. Can be solid, liquid, or gas.
Oxidizning Material
Oxidizers do not usually burn by themselves but they will either help the fire by providing more oxygen or make other material burn/catch fire. Some oxidizers are extremly dangerous because it can cause an explosion
Compressed Gases
A material which is gas at a normal temperature (20 degrees) but is packaged as pressured gas, dissolved gas or liquified by temperature or compression. It is dangerous excluding its chemical natures by sudden loss of integreity container it can become projected to a user or near by person causing lots of damage.
Corrosive Material
This material can cause secere burns to skin and tissues such as eye or lung.
Poisonous and Infectious Material Causing Immediate and Severe Toxic Effects
Very poisonous and immediately dangerous to life and health. Serious harm can cause just minutes or hours after exposure
Materials Causing Other Toxic Effects
Can lead to serious long-term health effects such as reproductive toxicity.
Dangerously Reactive Material
Dangerous materials which can lead to serious eye damage/irritation, actute toxicity, and more
Environment
May cause damage to the aquatic environment
Biohazardous Infectious Material
Can cause disease in people or animals. Includes bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites are found in the hospital, clinic, vetinary offices, and labratories. Workers should assume that every sample isndangerous because we can not see them.
