Antomy and physiology
is a fluid that comes out of the penis when a person ejaculate.
semen
is the one help the sperm to rich the egg.
Seminal fluid
is a female egg cell.
Ovum
Fertilized egg cell that results from the union of a female gametes (egg cell)with a male gametes (sperm).
zygote
when egg fertilized it totally divide into two separate embryo and this will bring?
Homozygote
the study of the 𝙛𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 of living organisms and their parts.
Physiology
the study of the 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 of an organism and the relationship of its parts
Anatomy
STRUCTURAL LEVELS OF THE BODY
The body is constructed of the following smaller units:
- Chemical level
- Cell
- Tissue
- Organ
The 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡 of organization within the body is the _____, which is composed of atoms and molecules.
Chemical level
Our bodies are made up of eleven systems, each of which has been designed to fulfill different functions:
1. Digestive System
2. Muscular System
3. Integumentary System
4. Excretory or Urinary System
5. Circulatory System
6. Reproductive System
7. Immune System
8. Respiratory System
9. Skeletal System
10. Endocrine System
11. Nervous System
Different tissue types that work together to perform specific, complex functions
Organ
Groups of similar cells with a common function.
Tissues
The 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩 that exhibits the characteristics of living things (organisms), and it is the smallest living portion of the human body.
Cells
The smallest units of matter.
Atoms
This is the system that breaks down food and absorbs its nutrients.
Digestive system
The ____ and the _____ manufacture special enzymes to help break down food.
Liver and pancreas
4 section of colon (large intestine
-Ascending colon
- Transverse colon
- Descending colon
- Sigmoides colon
Where does the final digestion happen in digestive system?
Small intestines
This system provides the body with movement.
Muscular system
What are the three types of muscle?
- Skeletal muscle
- Cardiac muscle
- Smooth muscle
It is a type of muscle attach to bones, and are voluntary--they are consciously controlled by the nervous system.
Skeletal muscle
It is type of muscle that cause the heart to pump blood, and are involuntary--they contract automatically.
Cardiac muscle
It is a type of muscle that are also involuntary, and cause movement in other organs; these are the muscles that push the food that we eat down the esophagus and into the stomach.
Smooth muscle
Body system includes skin, which provides sensory receptors and protects the body, and its accessory structures such as hair and nails.
Integumentary system
Consists of a pump (the heart) that moves blood through blood vessels in order to distribute hormones, nutrients, gases, and pick up waste products.
Circulatory system
The body system allows for the continuation of life. Gametes from the male's sperm and the female's egg combine to form a zygote--a unique combination of genes which no other human being has.
Reproductive system
4 component of blood
- Red blood cells
- White blood cells
- Platelets
- Plasma
this transport oxygen throughout body and carbon dioxide
Red blood cells
There fight infection
White blood cells
These clot to prevent blood loss during injury
Platelets
This is liquid part of blood
Plasma
A reproductive cell ( egg cell and sperm cell)
Gametes
Cells that outside of your reproductive system
Somatic cells
The body system, which is made up of special cells, proteins, tissues, and organs, defends people against germs and microorganisms every day. In most cases, the ________ does a great job of keeping people healthy and preventing infections.
Immune system
It provides the body with oxygen, and it expels carbon dioxide from the body. The nasal passage, trachea, bronchial tubes, lungs, and alveoli are involved in this process. Inhaled oxygen is broken down in the alveoli (tiny air sacs in the lungs) and then passed into the capillaries, where it travels into the bloodstream. In the same way, carbon dioxide from the blood is passed back into the alveoli, and exhaled from the body.
Respiratory system
it provides structure for the body, attachment of the muscles, and protection for the body's internal organs.
Skeletal system
It is made up of the chemical messengers which control many bodily activities called hormones. Hormones initiate many bodily processes, such as reproduction, growth, and digestion.
Endocrine system
The brain, spinal cord, and nerves work together to coordinate the body's actions. Our senses are also part of this system, allowing us to see, taste, smell, touch, hear, and feel pressure and pain. It is also responsible for consciousness, intelligence and memory.
Nervous system
Removes foreign subs tances from the blood and lymph , combats disease , maintains tissue fluid balance , and abs orbs dietary fats from the digestive tract . Consist of
the lymphatic vessels , lymph
nodes , & other lymphatic organs.
Lymphatic System
