What is an Adjective?
A word that names an attribute of a Noun. (A describing word.)
What is a Descriptive Adjective?
An Adjective that modifies a (pro)noun by describing it or expressing its qualities. (Eg. Green, Small, etc.)
What is an Evaluative Adjective?
An Evaluative Adjective expresses a judgement on what it is describing. (Eg. Stupid, clever)
What type of Adjective is "Beautiful"?
An Evaluative Adjective.
What type of Adjectives are words such as, "Faster", "Slower", etc.?
Comparative Adjectives.
What type of Adjective is "Colder"?
Comparative Adjective.
What type of Adjective is used to describe something being of the highest degree?
Superlative Adjective.
What type of Adjective is "Angriest"?
Superlative Adjective.
What is the difference between an Attributive and A Predicative Adjective?
Attributives come BEFORE the Noun (BLUE car) whilst Predicatives come AFTER the Noun (The car is BLUE)
