focusing only on things/money and possesions- what must be avoided (american dream , adam)

working together to achieve bigger goals - what must be done

being aware of social classes leads to to selfishness and focusing only on comfort
Social boundaries
social limits prevent people from achieving individuality based on merit - is about earning your place through your own capability

the dream is about social structure, not just machines- technological progress
Repression/restriction by social orders/boundaries
social progress: social limits stop true progress from happening

comparing yourself to someone and only wanting what they have = what must be avoided (=also materialism)
