a poem that must group lines in pairs
couplet
a tribute to a person, thing, or event, starting with "Oh, _________" and then continuing to speak to that person, thing, or event
ode
covering over words from an existing text and leaving words that interest you and form a sentence uncovered
blackout poem
a poem that has no rules or requirements whatsoever
free verse
has three groupings of four lines (quatrains) followed by a couplet, with a rhyming scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GG
sonnet
a poem with 5 lines that contain (in order):
• noun
• adjectives
• verbs
• related feelings
• synonym for the first noun
