republic act no 7836 otherwise known as the
philippine teachers professionalization act of 1994
covers all professional teachers in all educational levels and institutions, public or private, full time or part time.
Arcticle 1
teachers must uphold state policies, promote patriotism, and avoid political or religious bias in teaching and influence

teachers must actively serve and lead in the community, respect local culture, and maintain dignity in public conduct
Article 3
teaching is a noble career; teachers must take committed to excellence, continuous learning, and ethical income practices.
Article 4
foster's professional unity, honesty, and respect among teachers -- supporting colleagues and practicing integrity always.
Article 5
teachers must follow school policies, use proper channels for concerns, and honor lawful authority and employment applications.

promotes team work, fairness, and professional growth among school staff, with just treatment in hiring and dismissal.
Article 7
teachers must treat all learners fairly, evaluate honestly, avoid gifts or abuse, and prioritize learner development.

teachers must build good relationships with parents, communicate learners' progress clearly, and respond respectfully to concerns.
Article 9
teachers can engage in business if it doesn't affect teaching or cause conflicts of interest, and must be financially responsible.

a teacher must live with dignity, self discipline, and be a model of good character guided by Almighty God.

violating the code may result in penalties like suspension, license revocation, or reprimand under existing laws
