Nazi permilitary groups (SS,SA, Hitler Youth) n german civilians shattered the windows of an estimated 7500 jewish owned places of work, homes and synagogues. it is called shattered glass because of all the glass from the windows. happened on nov 9-10 1938 which was the day it happened. officers were told to not intervere except to stop the spread of fire.
